The JAM motivation methods

14.09.17

This past week, we had our JAM summer social event, which involved burgers, bowling, and a bucketload of prosecco at All Star Lanes! While we had a great time, the importance of these events goes beyond enjoying a few drinks on a Friday.
Employee motivation is a huge factor when it comes to productivity in the workplace and social events are an opportunity to top up on team spirit. Here are all the ways we make JAM a great place to work.

Brewing up
We have a ‘receive a brew, make a brew’ policy here at JAM, to ensure staff are well-caffeinated and hydrated at all times. Our client Argos for Business (AfB) conducted a study and found that employees appreciate a cup of tea more than remembering birthdays, picking up lunch on busy days or taking calls while they’re away from their desk. Remembering a colleague’s brew order makes them feel heard and turns the office into a friendlier environment.

Recognition
AfB’s study found that more than half of employees rated recognition for hard work above all else when it comes to motivation. Our hard work is recognised on a daily basis, though we have also been recognised through awards too – we’re running out of room to keep them all!

Socialising
Our socials are the most important of all as they allow us to socialise outside our working environment. Team-building exercises are important and though it’s unlikely you’ll catch us in a muddy field doing trust falls, we do it in our own way. This creates the friendly environment that we work in.

If you want to join in with our next team social, you’re in luck!  We’re looking for a new senior account manager at JAM. Get in touch with Jaime@jampr.co.uk or call us on 0161 850 0565.
