The JAM Jar

26.08.11

Having picked up silverware for Outstanding Small Consultancy at the North West Pride Awards for two years running, we were delighted to learn that we have been shortlisted for the gong again this year.

The JAM trophy cabinet is fit for bursting but we can always make a little more room for shiny awards, so fingers and toes crossed that we get called to the stage to collect our medal this year too.

The PRide awards mean an awful lot to us PR types, it’s the Oscars of the PR world. Not only is it an opportunity to let our hair down and get dressed to the nines but winning at PRide is proof to colleagues and clients that work has been judged to be among the best in the UK.

This year there were over 1000 entries. There are some big, big agencies up for awards, having delivered some exceptional campaigns. It is an honour to stand amongst our peers and be recognised as a credible player in the North West PR industry.

Commenting on the PRide shortlist, Jane Wilson CIPR CEO said: “The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and campaigns from the profession across the UK. To be shortlisted for an Award demonstrates exemplary achievement, impact and value – immediately putting their work in the spotlight. Congratulations to everyone for reaching this stage.”

Awards can’t be won without great material to work with, so we’d like to thank all our clients, past and present, for being a great bunch of people (and brands) to work with.

Fingers crossed for the Awards night on the 23rd November and good luck to all those shortlisted. See you at the bar!

The Gunnebo Security Group, a global supplier of security products, has entrusted its PR and creative requirements to JAMpr and its design division, JAMcre8tive.

Targeting Locksmiths and security conscious consumers, the PR activity will focus primarily on Gunnebo’s much-revered Chubbsafes brand, boosting awareness of Chubbsafes’ extensive range of security solutions among key trade and consumer audiences.

To kick off activity JAMpr is announcing the launch of Chubbsafe’s new range of domestic safes, which will be unveiled at this year’s Master Locksmith Association (MLA) Expo. The new Chubbsafes have been designed specifically for the needs of the domestic market, offering a more streamlined selection, with sizes to suit the most popular requirements.

The PR programme includes a mixture of strategies targeting websites, digital and social media and offline activities, including a hard-working press office function as well as event support.

The JAMcre8tive team – lead by Creative Director, Dave Gee – has been assigned to develop a suite of marketing collateral for the Chubbsafes brand, including point of sale material, product brochures and the exhibition stand for the security provider’s MLA Expo debut.

Commenting on JAM’s appointment, Steve Keogh, Sales Manager, Chubbsafes said: “We were looking for an agency that truly understood the Locksmith and security sectors. The team’s experience and knowledge of this market was evident in both their communications and the distinctive proposal presented.

“JAM impressed us with their fresh ideas, advice and experience, and contacts within the media, both online and offline. We are confident the team will produce great results for us.”

Jaime Gee (formerly Markey), MD of JAMpr says; “Chubbsafes is a fantastic brand to be associated with and we are delighted to be supporting this leading supplier of security solutions with both PR and creative services.”

Chubbsafes joins a growing list of clients for the Northern Quarter based agency, including Carl Kammerling International, my Travel Cash, Rectory Food Group, EHL Ingredients and ConferencesGroup.
